Illustrator: Geometric objects

I used a gradient for the background image. I then used all of the shape tools . For the star with circle i used the regular star and added circles to the end of each point which i compound using the Pathfinder.

Practicing Shapes 

I was using different shapes moving the forward and backward as needed.

I started by drawing a large rectangle with black stroke to fit the size of the document. The Greek column was made by using different shapes spiral tool, rectangle, and line segment . I added the words using the text tool.

I started the same why as always with a large rectangle with stroke and fill. I used the Pencil and ARC tool to draw a leaf. I coped it a many times to make a nice grouping. For the flowers the spiral tool was used. I added a drop-shadow on the leafs and flowers.

For the fire truck the Pathfinder tool was the most useful. I used many different shapes combined together to get the shape I wanted. I used the gradient on the object that look like metal and background. For the trees I used the symbols library.
